This article explores the relationship between students’ temperament characteristics and their language learning strategies, particularly in online speaking courses. It discusses how temperament influences students' engagement, participation, and success in language learning. The study emphasizes the role of different temperaments—sanguine, choleric, melancholic, and phlegmatic—in shaping students' preferences for learning strategies. By understanding these individual differences, educators can tailor their teaching methods to optimize students’ speaking abilities in online learning environments.
