The role of tour guide translators is crucial in facilitating cross-cultural communication and enriching tourists’ experiences in foreign destinations. As mediators between tourists and local cultures, they are required to possess not only linguistic proficiency but also cultural and contextual knowledge. This article explores the process of training tour guide translators, examining the essential skills, pedagogical approaches, challenges, and best practices involved in their education.
