Abstract

The development of reading literacy and native language proficiency in primary school students plays a crucial role in shaping their cognitive abilities and overall academic success. With the rapid advancement of educational methodologies, traditional approaches are being supplemented and, in some cases, replaced by innovative teaching methods that enhance student engagement, critical thinking, and comprehension skills. This article explores modern pedagogical innovations in teaching the native language and reading literacy to young learners, highlighting strategies such as gamification, digital learning tools, differentiated instruction, and project-based learning. Empirical data and comparative analysis of traditional versus modern teaching approaches are presented to assess the effectiveness of these methods in improving literacy rates.
