Abstract
This paper discussed the benefits of correctional education supervision in Nigeria. The paper used secondary data. The secondary data were collected from online publications and print resources. Content analysis was used to select the final literatures for the paper. The paper concluded that supervision of correctional education in Nigeria will lead to improvement in facilitators’ job performance, attainment of correctional education goals, improvement in inmate academic performance and improvement in the quality of teaching-learning in the correctional education in Nigeria. Based on the findings, the paper recommends that the government through the agencies in charge of instructional supervision to improve the quality of instructional supervision in all the correctional centres. Government should adequately fund these agencies to enable them carry out their supervisory functions.
