Abstract

The ancient Great Silk Road has been connecting the East and West for centuries. B.C. From the 2nd century, the connection of trade routes connected China to the Roman Empire. The Silk Road, associated with the name of the Chinese ambassador Zhang Jian, gained widespread development in the I-II centuries. Trade with China was mainly carried out by Central Asian intermediary merchants. In 97, the Chinese traveler Tan In reached the Persian Gulf. In May 100, Titian reached Longzhou, but the difficulties in the journey prevented him from connecting China with Rome.
